Inspired by the Cross- country skiing event of the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games, the Adidas "Lake Placid" is a leather upper and a compression moulded EVA mid-sole trainer. The trademark Adidas 3 stripes are shown in black leather. It has a multicoloured rubber out-sole.
